Practice Philosophy
|

|
|
Our clinic is designed to offer the services that pets and their owners need. We make every effort to provide the service you would expect from a human private medical clinic. |
| Our advice to you will be based on the premise, "What would I do if your pet were mine?" We know of no more honest context in which to advise you about the care of your pet. We encourage preventative medicine in our practice, believing that we can minimize unnecessary suffering and expense. Our goal is to enable your pet to live a happier, healthier life. |

|
| We only recommend and offer those services that we feel are justified.
|
We only recommend and offer those services that we feel are justified. While most of the procedures will be performed by our own staff, conditions that require more extensive evaluation or treatment can be referred to a specialist. Veterinary practice is becoming more and more specialized, therefore we now have the opportunity to bring into our hospital experts in various specialty fields. If necessary we can even refer your pet to a specialty hospital (for example: For radioisotope therapy for hyperthyroid cats). |
|
|
| The health and safety of your pet is our foremost concern.
We pride ourselves in providing high quality veterinary care. So, if you have any questions please let us know
… as always, there's no such thing as a silly question! |

Clinic Hours and Appointments
| Clinic hours: |
Monday - Friday
8am to 7pm
Saturday
9am to 1pm |
Our practice is run on an appointment basis. This enables the veterinarian to give you and your pet their personal, undivided attention during your appointment. It also minimizes contact with sick patients. Please call for an appointment if your pet requires attention… and please let us know if you're unable to keep your appointment so we can give it to a pet who needs it.
We do our utmost to avoid delays, however, occasionally emergency situations arise and when this happens a critically ill pet will be seen ahead of an appointment. Our clients have always been very considerate in these situations as they understand that their pet will be given the same treatment if ever the need arises.
Emergency Services
If you have an emergency please bring your pet to the clinic immediately.
If possible, please call ahead to let us know the problem and we will do
our best to have a veterinarian available upon your arrival.

Fees and Payment Policy
| Since animal hospitals and clinics are privately owned and not tax supported, a fee must be charged for our time and
services.
We always try to keep costs down as much as possible, without jeopardizing the quality of care we provide. Whenever possible, we will give you treatment options and discuss the pros and cons of each option so you can be involved in the decision making process. The diagnostic tests and treatment options now available for pets are wonderful but some are not cheap. Luckily, in recent years pet health insurance has become far more affordable and we would encourage you to ask us for information. (see
Links)
The cost for a particular procedure is based upon the amount of time and skill required. If at any time you have any questions regarding fees or services, please discuss them with us promptly and frankly. We make every effort to avoid misunderstandings.
|
| We accept Visa, MasterCard, Debit card and Cash. We regret that we are unable to mail accounts because of the time and expense involved. Consequently, we request that all accounts be paid in full, at the time of treatment or discharge of the patient. Unfortunately, we do not accept cheques. |
